Kendal Workman Teaches Runoff & Recharge

davidsmith063

Kendal Workman (Leon Co.) taught Leon Elementary third graders about rainfall and what happens when the rain hits the ground. With a rainfall simulator, the kids got to see first hand how much water runs off the surface of the earth and how much water soaks in the ground, recharging the aquifer.

"The 4-H Water Ambassadors Program has helped me become a better leader by getting me more involved in my community. It has also helped me feel more confident in teaching and giving presentations. I am so thankful for the Texas 4-H Water Ambassador Program and its sponsors for the opportunity to build leadership skills that will last me a lifetime." -Kendal Workman
